On 5th of May, youth center of epirus held an event for European Youth Week, to promote EU citizenship, activeness of young people, inclusive society, voluntarism and Erasmsus+. People had lots of fun with live music, games, information and so much more! Great thanks for participation also to Europe Direct Epirus, I.I.E.K. Delta, ESN Ioannina and volleyball club ELPiDA. also this year youth center of epirus coordinated the let's do it! clean ups in epirus region. the yce team worked for several months to inform municipalities, schools, organisations, associations and cultural clubs about lets do it action on 2nd of april this year. yce team and invited them to participate and provided information when needed. yce team also participated in cleaning up ioannina's lake park and surrounding areas and organized a small after party in mavili's square of Ioannina for all participants of lets do it epirus which included face painting for kids, music and fun!
several thousands took part in let's do it clean ups in epirus region on 2nd of April and many thousands all around greece. you can read more about what is let's do it wold here and you can read about lets do it greece here!
SCAYP project was just finalized in brussels, after 10 months of work. It was a capacity building project under Erasmus+ program and it aimed to promote higher quality integration of refugees in the EU society. the project's international meetings took place in Ioannina of Greece and Brussels of belgium. you can read about the project, access the handbook created during the project and see photos if you click here.
YCE members participated in 3 international Erasmus+ projects in Romania. Two of them were training courses "SCOP (sensory culture and occupational path)" and another one called "grow your ngo" for youth workers that learned about details of development of ngo in various ways and about education for youth on occupational path and sensory learning. The third project was a youth exchange "Colorful Europe" and young people had chance to exchange opinions and to learn about european awareness. you can read about these and other projects more and see photos if you visit the chapter Activities.
In the last months we have implemented 5 international youth projects in Greece, Stavroskiadi of ioannina. Youth exchanges were based on topics of voluntarism, refuges and social inclusion, environment, digital skills and creativity in social media. 4 of those projects were under Erasmus+ program and included participants from greece, france, latvia, spain, lithuania, portugal, estonia, croatia, netherlands, bulgaria and romania. Our organization took part in an international seminar in Marseille, France. The seminar was implemented under the Erasmus+ program.
Main aims of this seminar were to exchange practices from each country partner about social business, to Build and share youth workers’ skills in developing social business plans with the youth, to plan strategies and materials for Sensitizing youth to social entrepreneurship opportunities. The project Yes THEY CARE! involved more than 30 participants, young people, youth workers and facilitators from different countries. They met in Nitra, Slovakia from the 25th of march until the the 1st of April to create a space where they could work together on the topics such as conflict management and peace building, through non-formal education. Our organization took part to A 10-days international training course in Hanoi, Vietnam. The training course was a part of a long term cooperation project under the Erasmus+ program.
Main aims of this training course were to exchange practices from each country partner about local work on social business, to Build and share youth workers skills in developing social business plans with the youth, to Sensitize youth to social business opportunities. We are glad to share with you a video about international voluntarism. The video is in French mainly, sometimes in English and it was created by our French partner organizations, with a little help of Dace Dora Zaime from Youth Center of Epirus and our ex-volunteer Johanna Tarovy. During the video, you can hear people talking about international volunteerism in general and what is means to them, how does that influence the local society. Johanna talks about her time in Ioannina with Youth Center of Epirus, about her impression about Ioannina and the locals, about her work and life here. <3
We are looking for participants aged 18+ for a training course- seminar about social entrepreneurship in Marseilles, France from 3rd to 10th of May. A group of 3 people will participate in the project called C-EYES which will let the young people to learn about social entrepreneurship, to develop their own social business ideas with a help of experts in the field. The training-seminar will be realized using non-formal educational methods, there will be around 30 participants in total from Greece, France, Croatia, Spain, Romania, Estonia and Italy. The project is co-funded by the Erasmus+ programme therefore all activity related and accommodation costs will be paid and the travel costs up to 270 Euros will be reimbursed after the project.

Please note that the deadline for applications is 15th of March and that the selected participants will be expected to give some effort for the preparation of the project.
We just finished the 3-day local seminar-workshop on social entrepreneurship which was a part of the international Erasmus+ project EYES - Eurasia for youth entrepreneurship and social business. In the small seminar-workshop participated 10 young people and experts on various topics related to entrepreneurship and social entrepreneurship. The seminar helped the young people to get an insight in the business world and to develop their pre-business plan ideas. Next stop of the EYES project: Vietnam!

A member of YCE took part in a kick off meeting for the project "EYES" in Marseilles, France. This was the first activity for an Erasmus+ KA2 project "Eyes- eurasia for social entrepreneurship".
