Youth Exchange  "Involved youth 2.0", in Wojnicz, Poland

In the context of the Erasmus+ programme, the youth exchange "Involved youth 2.0" took place in Wojnicz, Poland, from 31 July to 10 August 2023. The "Involved youth 2.0" youth exchange was a project organised by Fundacja Ornament. The aim of the project is to involve young people in exploring problems affecting local communities. The project was composed of 40 participants from Poland, Italy, Germany, Germany, Turkey, Czech Republic, North Macedonia, Romania and Greece. Below you can read what a Greek participant says:

"During the project we had the opportunity to learn how a youth council works. It is an advisory tool composed of young people aged 18 to 30 years old and deals with the problems faced by young people in the area. In this context, we visited the local youth council in the town of Tarnow and were given a presentation of its work and operation. We also participated in workshops and debates on youth-related issues. As a result, we made friendships, got to know new cultures and also got to know a part of Poland.

As part of the programme we also had the opportunity to visit the historical site of Auschwitz and learn about the history of this martyr's place. The programme left us with strong experiences, emotions, and an appetite for involvement in youth organisation and addressing the problems faced by young people at the local level."
